Astronaut tweets ‘UFO’ from the space station

Scott Kelly shared an image on social media showing a strange object high above the Earth’s surface.

Kelly, who recently achieved the world record for the longest time spent in space by a US astronaut, recorded an image of city lights over India and posted it to his Twitter account with the caption “Day 233. Once upon a #star over Southern India. #GoodNight from @space_station! #YearInSpace ”

The anomalous object can be seen situated in the top right-hand corner of the frame.


Some Internet users have suggested that the cigar-shaped object, which appears to have lights at either end, is
evidence that we are not alone and that Kelly had been aware of that fact.
Others, meanwhile, maintain that the ‘UFO’ is little more than a reflection on the window.

In a video made by YouTube channel Sonofmabarker, the narrator said: “Last night aboard the International Space Station astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted this photo.”It was taken while the ISS was over India.”In the upper right of the photo you can clearly see a large object with two lights on each end.

“It also appears to be very large and constructed.

“I would find it hard to believe that Scott Kelly did not notice this when he tweeted this out.

“It really sticks out like a sore thumb.

“Scott Kelly thank you for sending this photo down to Earth.

“Hardly a week goes by without someone from the ISS sending us a photo or video that really is quite strange and it is left for us to decide.”
